楊牧(1940- ) 本名王靖獻，花蓮人。 東海大學外文系畢業，在美國愛荷華大學取得藝術碩士學位，獲柏克萊加州大學比較文學博士學位，長期任教於西雅圖華盛頓大學。後來返台，在東華大學擔任人文社會學院院長，現為中研院文哲所所長。 創作甚豐的楊牧，從早期的「葉珊」時代就有詩集 《水之湄 》、《花季》，在浪漫抒情風格上形塑他的名聲。他的散文作品，也映照抒情婉約的文風。隨著人生閱歷的增進與世事觀照之增廣，在詩的書房裡的楊牧對現實與冥想更為深刻地觸探，形成一種講究語字鍛鍊的詩風。 透過詩與詩學交互碰觸，他在書房裡觀照現實世界，也把現實世界捕捉進書房裡。《瓶中稿》、《楊牧詩集》、《海岸七疊》、《有人》、《完整的寓言》，楊牧以詩集與文集構成他的文學風景。曾獲詩宗獎(1971)、吳三連文藝獎(1990)、國家文藝獎(2000)、紐曼華語文學獎(2013)等重要獎項。
